Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in West Memphis, AR
See Why Yorkies Have Our Hearts
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as they're often called, have a special place in our hearts. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, making it a popular recommendation for people with allergies. They're small, usually weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family are what really win people over. Even better, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They fit in well with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders are hard to come by in the West Memphis, Arkansas area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. Because of this, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in West Memphis. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Top Choice
We do things the right way at The Puppy House when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards reach well past the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with a reputation for great temperaments. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
Each puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. Besides being great socialization, it gives them plenty of exercise.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. You'll be able to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love forming new friendships, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
How Your Yorkie Puppy Travels to West Memphis, Arkansas
Three ways run from Sugarcreek to West Memphis, and the right one depends mostly on how soon you want the puppy home and how you feel about a long drive.
Home delivery by ground
Most West Memphis families choose this. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, each puppy in a carrier of its own, with a veterinary check before the van pulls out and word from the driver as it travels. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. The flat fee to Arkansas is $450, and with West Memphis 595 miles out, most families have the puppy in their arms about two days after departure, sometimes three depending on the route the van takes. Drivers on that trip also stop in , including Memphis TN, Forrest City AR, Marion AR, Wynne AR, Marianna AR, Earle AR, Hughes AR, Parkin AR, Marvell AR, Tyronza AR, Madison AR, Palestine AR, and Turrell AR, so the price doesn't move if you're elsewhere in Crittenden County or a few miles outside town.
For a puppy this small, the van has one advantage worth naming. Young Yorkies need frequent small meals to keep their blood sugar steady, and a ground transport schedule builds those stops in.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most flight nanny deliveries are done the same day. From West Memphis, the airports that make sense for a handoff are Memphis International Airport, and Jonesboro Municipal Airport.
Yorkshire Terriers clear the in cabin requirements easily, since the limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkie weighs a couple of pounds. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. You need a little flexibility in case weather delays a flight. Flight nanny is quoted per trip and costs more than ground delivery.
Pickup at the farm
You're welcome to come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it was raised, and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee at the kitchen table. From West Memphis that's 11 to 13 hours of driving each way, so realistically two days on the road plus a hotel. Some families make a trip of it. Most don't, and that's fine.
What we usually suggest for West Memphis
Ground delivery is the answer for nearly everyone. At $450 it is the least complicated option, it costs less than a flight nanny, and nobody has to drive to an airport with a carrier. If you would rather have the puppy home in one day instead of two, ask about a flight nanny when we talk. The method, the timing, and the fee all get settled on the phone after the puppy is reserved.
