Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Southaven, MS
Discover Why We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. With their long, beautiful, silky coat and very little shedding, Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. But it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family that really win people over. And their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They quickly become part of most families. In the Southaven, Mississippi area, reputable Yorkie breeders can be tough to find, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is why we're so proud to offer carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Southaven. We want every family to have the chance to own a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Southaven
Why Our Puppies Are Second to None
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. We go well beyond the basic standards. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
From the start, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important piece, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. We're careful about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's always more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
What Delivery to Southaven, Mississippi Looks Like
Ground delivery to your door
This runs a flat $350 to any address in the state, and it is what most Southaven families use. Professional transport drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Most families have their puppy within about three days of departure, and with 594 miles to cover, Southaven usually lands at the two to three day end of that. Out your way the van also delivers to , including and Horn Lake MS, and nothing changes for an address elsewhere in DeSoto County. The air conditioning matters more on this route than on most, since a four to seven pound dog has very little margin in July. Each puppy travels with a bag of the food it has been eating and a blanket that smells like its littermates.
Flight nanny to an airport near Southaven
A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin, never cargo, and passes it to you at baggage claim. Most of these are finished in a single day. Southaven families would meet the flight at Memphis International Airport, and Jonesboro Municipal Airport. Cost is quoted per flight and runs above ground transport. We arrange a veterinary health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which is not a limit a Yorkie will ever come near.
Picking the puppy up in Sugarcreek
You're welcome at the farm by appointment. From Southaven that's 11 to 13 hours each way, a two day trip for most people, though it does let you see where the puppy was raised, meet the parent dogs and go through the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Which option fits Southaven
Ground transport is the sensible default almost everywhere in Mississippi, and that includes Southaven. If you would rather have the puppy home the same day, a flight nanny is worth pricing out. A few families do make the trip up to the farm, and they're always welcome.
