Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Memphis, TN
Find Out Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. While most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. Even better, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They blend right in with most families. Locating reputable Yorkie breeders in the Memphis, Tennessee area can be challenging, as there are very few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we're so proud to provide families in Memphis with our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

What Makes Our Yorkie Puppies the Best
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. Our standards go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of space for playing and socializing.
Each puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
We encourage you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy has had their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam by the time they go home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Delivery to Memphis, Tennessee: What It Costs and How Long It Takes
Tennessee falls in our regional delivery tier at a flat $350, and the drive from Sugarcreek to Memphis runs 589 miles, roughly 11 to 13 hours. Here's how the three options work.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek
You drive to us by appointment. The puppy goes home the same day. As a rule of thumb, around five hours each way is a reasonable day, past seven it gets long, and somewhere around nine it stops making sense, so you'll know where Memphis falls. Families who come up meet the parent dogs, walk through the vaccination records and microchip registration at the kitchen table, and leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating along with a toy and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Home delivery by ground
Most Tennessee families take this route. A professional pet transport service carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and Tennessee is close enough to the route that families here are usually among the earlier stops rather than riding along for days. The fee is a flat $350 for Memphis, for , including and West Memphis AR, and for anywhere else in Shelby County, and we confirm the timing on a call. No airport trip, no cargo hold, and nothing for you to arrange.
Flight nanny
A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them on a commercial flight, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these are done the same day. Tennessee has good coverage for this, and for Memphis the workable arrival points are Memphis International Airport, and Jonesboro Municipal Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkie is ever close to, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. It costs more than ground and it's quoted per flight.
What we usually suggest
If the drive from Memphis is short enough to do in a day, weigh the pickup against ground delivery, because it's worth it if you want to see where the puppy grew up. If it isn't, ground delivery is the sensible choice. Flight nanny gets it done in a day.
