Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Urbana, IL
Learn Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. While most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. And their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Urbana, Illinois area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. That's the reason we take so much pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Urbana. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover Why Our Yorkie Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. Our dogs are all well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies explore and play in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. Placing our Yorkies matters to us, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. It means a lot to us to make new friends, keep in touch, and watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Champaign County. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Urbana comes up 347 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Cunningham IL, Sumpter IL, Pleasant Grove IL, Toledo IL, and Cottonwood IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Urbana families are University of Illinois Willard Airport, and Decatur Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
