Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Vestavia Hills, AL
Discover What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. This breed's gorgeous, long, silky coat sheds very little, so it's often suggested for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, what wins most people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They adjust easily to life with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Vestavia Hills, Alabama can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's the reason we take so much pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Vestavia Hills. Our aim is to give every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. We genetically test all of our adult dogs, and each one comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog we have receives excellent care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies each go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important piece, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home, get to know our dogs, and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love making new friends and keeping in touch so we can watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Vestavia Hills, Alabama
Ground transport is how nearly every Vestavia Hills family brings a puppy home, and it's a flat $350 to any address in Alabama, Jefferson County included. A driver carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, and sends updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Most families have their puppy within about three days of departure, and with Vestavia Hills sitting 561 miles from the farm, plan on two to three days rather than an overnight arrival. The same run reaches , including Homewood AL, Mountain Brook AL, Chelsea AL, Irondale AL, Sylacauga AL, Meadowbrook AL, Brook Highland AL, Highland Lakes AL, Childersburg AL, Westover AL, Harpersville AL, Shoal Creek AL, Mignon AL, and Oak Grove AL, so the fee and the timing hold if you live just outside town. Toy breed pups can dip in blood sugar after travel, so meals stay small and frequent on the road and a bag of the food it's been eating goes along.
Farm pickup is open to anyone by appointment. From Vestavia Hills the drive is 10 to 12 hours each way, which for most families means a night somewhere along the route rather than a single day out and back. What the miles buy you is a walk around the property, a look at the parents, and the health records and microchip registration gone over in person.
Flight nanny is the third route. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim, usually the same day. For Vestavia Hills, the arrivals we would look at are Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, and Huntsville International Airport. Cost is quoted per flight and runs higher than ground, since it depends on the route and airline that day. A veterinary health certificate gets arranged ahead of travel, and the puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old and under 20 pounds including the carrier, a limit no Yorkie will ever test.
For Vestavia Hills, ground transport is the sensible pick. If 10 to 12 hours behind the wheel sounds like a fair trade for meeting us and seeing the farm, the drive up is worth thinking about on a free weekend, and if you'd rather have the puppy home the same day, ask us to price out a flight.
