Discover Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers

Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the cherry on top. They're a great match for most families. Finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the South Moline, Illinois area can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's the reason we take so much pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in South Moline. We want every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can depend on.

What Sets Our Yorkie Puppies Apart

Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. Our standards reach well past the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Every dog here gets great care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy is given Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done early in life. Another important step is socialization, which helps shape good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

If it works for you, we invite you to visit and pick out your puppy in person. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We put a lot of thought into placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.

Each puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough exam from a veterinarian before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to South Moline, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From South Moline that's 8 to 10 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Rock Island County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. South Moline comes up 466 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including East Moline IL, Silvis IL, Geneseo IL, Colona IL, Coal Valley IL, Le Claire IA, Western IL, Hanna IL, Richland Grove IL, Cambridge IL, Carbon Cliff IL, Orion IL, Hampton IL, Port Byron IL, Rapids City IL, Rural IL, Viola IL, Zuma IL, Lynn IL, Edford IL, Sherrard IL, and Andover IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for South Moline families are Quad City International Airport, and Southeast Iowa Regional Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
