Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Pekin, IL
See Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us
Few breeds are as close to our hearts at The Puppy House as the Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie. A Yorkie's long, beautiful, silky coat sheds very little, which is why the breed is often recommended for people with allergies. Small as they are at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They fit in well with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Pekin, Illinois can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's what makes us so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Pekin. We want to make sure every family has access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Pekin
Why Our Puppies Are the Ones to Choose
At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go much further than the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with a reputation for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. The puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
You're invited to visit us and choose your puppy in person if you can. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We enjoy gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Pekin, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs
Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Pekin that's 7 to 9 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Peoria County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Pekin comes up 420 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Canton IL, Cincinnati IL, Logan IL, Havana IL, Elm Grove IL, Timber IL, Tremont IL, Lewistown IL, Mason City IL, Spring Lake IL, Hollis IL, Lake Camelot IL, Delavan IL, North Pekin IL, Little Mackinaw IL, Manito IL, Buckheart IL, Sand Prairie IL, South Pekin IL, Orvil IL, Trivoli IL, Dillon IL, Glasford IL, Quiver IL, Hopedale IL, Green Valley IL, San Jose IL, Allens Grove IL, St. David IL, and Liverpool IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Pekin families are General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport, and Central Illinois Regional Airport at Bloomington-Normal. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
