See Why We Love Yorkies

Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed's gorgeous, long, silky coat sheds very little, so it's often suggested for people with allergies. Yorkies usually tip the scales at 7 pounds or less, yet they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddles and being near you all the time is the icing on the cake. They tend to fit right in with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Madison, Alabama can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we take great pride in making our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies available to families in Madison. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are a Cut Above

At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. The bar we set for ourselves is well above the basics. We only work with genetically tested adult dogs from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for, and each has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.

We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can meet us face to face and see our home and our dogs. For us, placing a Yorkie is a serious commitment and more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, checking in over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before your puppy comes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Madison, Alabama

Ground transport is how nearly every Madison family brings a puppy home, and it's a flat $350 to any address in Alabama, Limestone County included. A driver carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, and sends updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Most families have their puppy within about three days of departure, and with Madison sitting 488 miles from the farm, plan on two to three days rather than an overnight arrival. The same run reaches , including Huntsville AL, Athens AL, Harvest AL, Redstone Arsenal AL, and Triana AL, so the fee and the timing hold if you live just outside town. Toy breed pups can dip in blood sugar after travel, so meals stay small and frequent on the road and a bag of the food it's been eating goes along.

Farm pickup is open to anyone by appointment. From Madison the drive is 9 to 11 hours each way, which for most families means a night somewhere along the route rather than a single day out and back. What the miles buy you is a walk around the property, a look at the parents, and the health records and microchip registration gone over in person.

Flight nanny is the third route. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim, usually the same day. For Madison, the arrivals we would look at are Huntsville International Airport, and Northwest Alabama Regional Airport. Cost is quoted per flight and runs higher than ground, since it depends on the route and airline that day. A veterinary health certificate gets arranged ahead of travel, and the puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old and under 20 pounds including the carrier, a limit no Yorkie will ever test.

For Madison, ground transport is the sensible pick. If 9 to 11 hours behind the wheel sounds like a fair trade for meeting us and seeing the farm, the drive up is worth thinking about on a free weekend, and if you'd rather have the puppy home the same day, ask us to price out a flight.
