Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Kentwood, MI
Learn the Reasons We Love Yorkies
The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. For a dog that typically weighs 7 pounds or less, the Yorkie has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They fit easily into most families. Tracking down a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Kentwood, Michigan area can be challenging, since responsible breeders are so rare across the country. That's why we're proud to offer families in Kentwood our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can truly count on.

Learn What Sets Our Puppies Apart
We breed and raise our Yorkies the right way here at The Puppy House. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for, with plenty of room to play and socialize.
Each puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. Besides being great socialization, it gives them plenty of exercise.
If possible, we invite you to come visit us and choose your puppy in person. That gives you the chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Every Yorkie we place matters to us, and it's never just a one-time sale. We love forming new friendships, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, every puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Kentwood, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Kentwood mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Kentwood it's 264 miles, which works out to 4 to 6 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Kent County address pays the same whether it's in Kentwood or out in , including Gaines MI, Byron MI, and Cutlerville MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Kentwood families would meet the nanny at Gerald R. Ford International Airport, and Muskegon County Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
