Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Jackson, MS
See Why We Love Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. They may be tiny, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But their sweet temperament and the deep bond they create with their family are what win people over. The cherry on top is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They're well suited to most families. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Jackson, Mississippi area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Jackson. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Jackson
Why Our Puppies Are Second to None
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. Our standards go far beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies explore and play in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This helps with socialization and gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can make the trip, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. Visiting lets you see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first set of shots and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
What Delivery to Jackson, Mississippi Looks Like
Ground delivery to your door
This runs a flat $350 to any address in the state, and it is what most Jackson families use. Professional transport drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Most families have their puppy within about three days of departure, and with 739 miles to cover, Jackson usually lands at the two to three day end of that. Out your way the van also delivers to , including Pearl MS, Clinton MS, Byram MS, and Terry MS, and nothing changes for an address elsewhere in Hinds County. The air conditioning matters more on this route than on most, since a four to seven pound dog has very little margin in July. Each puppy travels with a bag of the food it has been eating and a blanket that smells like its littermates.
Flight nanny to an airport near Jackson
A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin, never cargo, and passes it to you at baggage claim. Most of these are finished in a single day. Jackson families would meet the flight at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport, and Hattiesburg Laurel Regional Airport. Cost is quoted per flight and runs above ground transport. We arrange a veterinary health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which is not a limit a Yorkie will ever come near.
Picking the puppy up in Sugarcreek
You're welcome at the farm by appointment. From Jackson that's 14 to 16 hours each way, a two day trip for most people, though it does let you see where the puppy was raised, meet the parent dogs and go through the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Which option fits Jackson
Ground transport is the sensible default almost everywhere in Mississippi, and that includes Jackson. If you would rather have the puppy home the same day, a flight nanny is worth pricing out. A few families do make the trip up to the farm, and they're always welcome.
