Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Homer, IL

Fluffy Yorkie puppy sitting for a portrait, raised for families in the Homer area

Here's Why We Love Yorkies

At The Puppy House, the Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts. People with allergies are often pointed toward Yorkies, since their beautiful, long, silky coat sheds very little. A Yorkie typically weighs 7 pounds or less but has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They adjust easily to life with most families. In the Homer, Illinois area, reputable Yorkie breeders can be tough to find, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Homer is something we take great pride in. We're committed to giving every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

See Why Our Puppies Stand Out

At The Puppy House, we make sure our Yorkies are bred and raised the right way. Our standards go much further than the basics. Our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and all of them are genetically tested. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.

Each puppy completes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important piece, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.

We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We don't take placing our Yorkies lightly, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, staying in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Homer, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Homer that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Will County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Homer comes up 338 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including New Lenox IL, and Homer Glen IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Homer families are Chicago Midway International Airport, and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
