Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Hanahan, SC
Find Out Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies may be small, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But their sweet temperament and the deep bond they create with their family are what win people over. Plus, they love cuddling and staying close all the time, which makes them even more special. They fit easily into most families. With so few responsible breeders across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Hanahan, South Carolina area can be a challenge. That's exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Hanahan. We want every family to find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

What Makes Our Puppies a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We go well beyond the basic standards. All the adult dogs in our program are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies all go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves gentle handling exercises in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
Whenever possible, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. You'll be able to look around our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends along the way, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy to Hanahan, South Carolina: Pickup, Ground, and Flight Nanny
Most Hanahan families choose home delivery. A professional pet transport service moves the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, with its own carrier, a veterinary check before leaving, and updates on the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays and the flat fee to South Carolina is $350, the same in Hanahan as in , including North Charleston SC, and Goose Creek SC. Since Hanahan is 531 miles from the farm, puppies headed your way usually arrive early in the run rather than at the end of it, and most families have theirs within about three days of departure. The climate controlled van earns its keep on this route more than on most.
Flight nanny moves faster. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy over at baggage claim. Most finish inside one day. Families in Berkeley County fly their puppies into Charleston International Airport, and Hilton Head Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds with the carrier, and cleared by a licensed veterinarian, which a four to seven pound Yorkshire Terrier manages without any trouble. This one is quoted per flight and costs more than ground.
Farm pickup is open to anyone willing to make the drive, though at 10 to 12 hours each way it's a long day from Hanahan and only a handful of families do it. Visits run by appointment. We go through the records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee in person. The method, the timing, and the fee all get sorted on a call once your puppy is reserved.
