Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Summerville, SC
Learn Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us
Few breeds are as close to our hearts at The Puppy House as the Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. They're small, usually weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Yet what really wins people over is their sweet disposition and the deep bond they form with their family. As a bonus, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They adapt well to most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Summerville, South Carolina area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Summerville. We want each family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can trust.

What Makes Our Puppies a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. For us, the basics are only the starting point. We only work with genetically tested adult dogs from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and enjoy plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies each go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This gives them great socialization and plenty of exercise at the same time.
If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. This gives you a chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy to Summerville, South Carolina: Pickup, Ground, and Flight Nanny
Most Summerville families choose home delivery. A professional pet transport service moves the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, with its own carrier, a veterinary check before leaving, and updates on the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays and the flat fee to South Carolina is $350, the same in Summerville as in , including Ladson SC, Sangaree SC, Walterboro SC, Lincolnville SC, St. George SC, Ridgeville SC, Holly Hill SC, Branchville SC, Bowman SC, Cottageville SC, and Harleyville SC. Since Summerville is 523 miles from the farm, puppies headed your way usually arrive early in the run rather than at the end of it, and most families have theirs within about three days of departure. The climate controlled van earns its keep on this route more than on most.
Flight nanny moves faster. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy over at baggage claim. Most finish inside one day. Families in Berkeley County fly their puppies into Charleston International Airport, and Hilton Head Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds with the carrier, and cleared by a licensed veterinarian, which a four to seven pound Yorkshire Terrier manages without any trouble. This one is quoted per flight and costs more than ground.
Farm pickup is open to anyone willing to make the drive, though at 9 to 11 hours each way it's a long day from Summerville and only a handful of families do it. Visits run by appointment. We go through the records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee in person. The method, the timing, and the fee all get sorted on a call once your puppy is reserved.
