Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Mount Pleasant, SC
Find Out Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us
Few breeds are as close to our hearts at The Puppy House as the Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. Don't let their size fool you. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. Still, what wins most people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Even better, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They're well suited to most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Mount Pleasant, South Carolina area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Mount Pleasant is something we take great pride in. We want every family to find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

What Makes Our Puppies a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We set our standards well above the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with a reputation for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy takes part in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another essential step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. The puppies play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can meet us face to face and see our home and our dogs. We take every Yorkie placement seriously, and to us it's much more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
All of our puppies get their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before they go home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina: Pickup, Ground, and Flight Nanny
Most Mount Pleasant families choose home delivery. A professional pet transport service moves the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, with its own carrier, a veterinary check before leaving, and updates on the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays and the flat fee to South Carolina is $350, the same in Mount Pleasant as in , including Charleston SC, James Island SC, Isle of Palms SC, Folly Beach SC, Sullivan's Island SC, Awendaw SC, and McClellanville SC. Since Mount Pleasant is 541 miles from the farm, puppies headed your way usually arrive early in the run rather than at the end of it, and most families have theirs within about three days of departure. The climate controlled van earns its keep on this route more than on most.
Flight nanny moves faster. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy over at baggage claim. Most finish inside one day. Families in Charleston County fly their puppies into Charleston International Airport, and Hilton Head Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds with the carrier, and cleared by a licensed veterinarian, which a four to seven pound Yorkshire Terrier manages without any trouble. This one is quoted per flight and costs more than ground.
Farm pickup is open to anyone willing to make the drive, though at 10 to 12 hours each way it's a long day from Mount Pleasant and only a handful of families do it. Visits run by appointment. We go through the records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee in person. The method, the timing, and the fee all get sorted on a call once your puppy is reserved.
