Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Avon Lake, OH
Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. The breed is often recommended for people with allergies thanks to its long, beautiful, silky coat that sheds very little. While most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what wins people's hearts is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They quickly become part of most families. Given how few responsible breeders there are across the country, finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Avon Lake, Ohio area can be difficult. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Avon Lake is something we take great pride in. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Learn Why Our Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we're committed to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We go above and beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with a reputation for great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
All of our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for their social skills, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can make the trip, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take the placement of our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and keeping in touch so we can watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Free Pickup, or $250 Delivery to Avon Lake, Ohio
Coming to get the puppy
Pickup is free and it's what most Ohio families choose. From Avon Lake the farm is 73 miles away, 1 to 2 hours by car. A visit is also what separates a breeder from the large puppy websites, which are brokers listing dogs from kennels they have never walked into. Visits are by appointment. That isn't us being formal about it. This is a working farm, and an appointment means the time gets set aside for you properly rather than fitted in between chores. Come out, take as long as you want, and ask us anything. Nobody has ever been rushed off this property.
We're closed Sundays. A message left with us then usually gets answered Monday morning.
Home delivery
If the drive genuinely doesn't work, home delivery to Avon Lake, to , including and Avon OH, or anywhere else in Lorain County is $250, which is the lowest rate we charge anywhere. Your puppy travels with a pet delivery service in a climate controlled van, in a carrier of its own, and there are always two drivers so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. Their own veterinarian checks each puppy over after pickup and before the van leaves the driveway. Reserve before noon on Monday and it usually runs that week.
Flying makes little sense inside Ohio and almost nobody asks for it. If you did want it, the nanny would land at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and Akron Canton Regional Airport, but a commercial flight with an in-flight nanny runs $750 to $1,200, which buys you nothing on a drive this short.
