Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Tucson, AZ

Why We're Crazy About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, we have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, better known as Yorkies. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the cherry on top. They adjust easily to life with most families. There are very few responsible breeders across the country, so finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Tucson, Arizona area can be difficult. That's what makes us so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Tucson. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can truly count on.

Find Out What Makes Our Puppies the Best
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way is what we're all about at The Puppy House. We aim much higher than the basics. Every adult dog in our program is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.
All our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises we do in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and they get lots of exercise along the way.
If you can make the trip, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That gives you the chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love making new friends, staying in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy gets their first round of shots and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy to Tucson, Arizona
There are three ways to bring a puppy home to Tucson, and we settle on one by phone after the puppy is reserved rather than at checkout.
Flight nanny. For Tucson this is usually the one we point families toward. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, never in cargo. Most of these trips finish the same day. A Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds full grown, so a puppy plus carrier sits far under the 20 pound cabin limit, which makes this breed one of the easiest to fly. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old and have a health certificate from a licensed vet, both of which we arrange. For Pima County families, nannies fly into Tucson International Airport, and Mesa Gateway Airport, and the handoff happens at baggage claim. Pricing is quoted per flight since it follows airfare.
Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre trip vet check, and updates along the way. Arizona falls in our national tier at a flat $450, and that's the price in Tucson as well as in , including Drexel Heights AZ, South Tucson AZ, and Rincon Valley AZ. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and with 1718 miles of road between the farm and your door, the run usually takes two to three days depending on the route. The van stays cool the whole way, which matters more here than almost anywhere.
Pickup in Sugarcreek. You're welcome to come get the puppy yourself by appointment. It's 33 to 35 hours of driving from Tucson, so nobody does it as a simple errand, but a few families build it into a trip east and like walking the property and going through the health records at the kitchen table.
There's one Arizona specific thing to plan for. Yorkie puppies can drop low on blood sugar after a stressful day of travel, so plan on a small meal soon after the handoff and a few more that first day, and keep water in front of the puppy. Between the desert heat and dry air, that first evening at home should be quiet and indoors.
