Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Oro Valley, AZ

Find Out What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, and they're often suggested for people with allergies. Despite typically weighing 7 pounds or less, Yorkies carry a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the real reason people fall for Yorkies is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Oro Valley, Arizona area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. This is why we're so proud to offer carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Oro Valley. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. Our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and all of them are genetically tested. Every dog here gets great care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. We also focus on socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Out in the backyard, our puppies play and explore alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's wonderful socialization, and they get plenty of exercise too.
If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. You'll be able to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies to heart, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love forming new friendships, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy has had their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam by the time they go home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy to Oro Valley, Arizona
There are three ways to bring a puppy home to Oro Valley, and we settle on one by phone after the puppy is reserved rather than at checkout.
Flight nanny. For Oro Valley this is usually the one we point families toward. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, never in cargo. Most of these trips finish the same day. A Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds full grown, so a puppy plus carrier sits far under the 20 pound cabin limit, which makes this breed one of the easiest to fly. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old and have a health certificate from a licensed vet, both of which we arrange. For Pima County families, nannies fly into Tucson International Airport, and Mesa Gateway Airport, and the handoff happens at baggage claim. Pricing is quoted per flight since it follows airfare.
Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre trip vet check, and updates along the way. Arizona falls in our national tier at a flat $450, and that's the price in Oro Valley as well as in , including Marana AZ, Saddlebrooke AZ, Catalina AZ, San Manuel AZ, Oracle AZ, Mammoth AZ, Bylas AZ, and Dudleyville AZ. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and with 1714 miles of road between the farm and your door, the run usually takes two to three days depending on the route. The van stays cool the whole way, which matters more here than almost anywhere.
Pickup in Sugarcreek. You're welcome to come get the puppy yourself by appointment. It's 33 to 35 hours of driving from Oro Valley, so nobody does it as a simple errand, but a few families build it into a trip east and like walking the property and going through the health records at the kitchen table.
There's one Arizona specific thing to plan for. Yorkie puppies can drop low on blood sugar after a stressful day of travel, so plan on a small meal soon after the handoff and a few more that first day, and keep water in front of the puppy. Between the desert heat and dry air, that first evening at home should be quiet and indoors.
