Explore the Reasons We Love Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. Even though most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they often act like big dogs, with an attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what wins people's hearts is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The fact that they love to cuddle and stay close all the time is the icing on the cake. Most families find that Yorkies fit right in. Finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Susquehanna, Pennsylvania area can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Susquehanna. We want each family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can trust.

The Reasons Our Puppies Are the Best

Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested, and each comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here gets great care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Our puppies all go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves gentle handling exercises in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another essential step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Our puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is a great way for them to socialize, and they get plenty of exercise too.

We always welcome visits, so come pick out your puppy in person if you can. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. For us, placing a Yorkie is a serious commitment and more than a one-time sale. We enjoy gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before your puppy comes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Susquehanna, Pennsylvania

Every puppy leaves from Sugarcreek, and there are three ways to get one home to Susquehanna.

Farm pickup. You drive to us by appointment and take your puppy home the same day. From Susquehanna that's 251 miles, about 4 to 6 hours each way. Visiting lets you see where your puppy was raised, meet us, and go over the health records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. When the drive is short enough to do in a day, this is the option we point Pennsylvania families toward first.

Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives your puppy to your door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Pennsylvania sits in our regional tier, a flat $350. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and Pennsylvania destinations are usually next day arrivals, so Dauphin County families, whether in Susquehanna or in , including Lower Paxton PA, Harrisburg PA, Middle Paxton PA, Upper Paxton PA, Millersburg PA, Lower Mahanoy PA, Chapman PA, Liverpool PA, Halifax PA, Port Trevorton PA, Freeburg PA, and Lenkerville PA, have their puppy within a day of departure. This is the most popular choice statewide and the one we recommend whenever the drive to us is more than you want to take on.

Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these are completed in a single day. For Susquehanna, the options are Harrisburg International Airport, and Lancaster Airport. Flight nanny is quoted per flight and costs more than ground, and it needs a puppy at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds with the carrier, a health certificate, and some flexibility if weather pushes the schedule. A Yorkie is nowhere near that weight limit, so the carrier requirement is never an issue for this breed.

Your puppy travels with a bag of the food it has been eating. Whichever method you pick, the timing and the fee get confirmed on a call rather than at checkout.
