Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Summit, MI
Here's Why We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, the Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat, and since they shed very little, they're often recommended for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. Yet what really wins people over is their sweet disposition and the deep bond they form with their family. On top of that, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They settle into most family homes with ease. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Summit, Michigan can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we take great pride in bringing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Summit. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

See Why Our Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we make sure our Yorkies are bred and raised the right way. Our standards go much further than the basics. We only work with genetically tested adult dogs from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Each of our puppies receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a set of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Out in the backyard, our puppies play and explore alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. That way, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We're serious about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, staying in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Summit, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Summit mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Summit it's 187 miles, which works out to 3 to 5 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Jackson County address pays the same whether it's in Summit or out in , including Jackson MI, Albion MI, Hillsdale MI, Columbia MI, Cambridge MI, Vandercook Lake MI, Somerset MI, Montpelier OH, Hanover MI, Woodstock MI, Rollin MI, Jefferson MI, Liberty MI, Brady OH, Cambria MI, Spring Arbor MI, Jonesville MI, Hudson MI, Gorham OH, Morenci MI, Pulaski MI, Scipio MI, Dover MI, Rome MI, Manitou Beach-Devils Lake MI, West Unity OH, Allen MI, Pittsford MI, Moscow MI, Bridgewater OH, Pioneer OH, Litchfield MI, Stryker OH, Woodbridge MI, Northwest OH, Seneca MI, Brooklyn MI, Amboy MI, Medina MI, Fayette MI, Reading MI, Concord MI, Onsted MI, Ransom MI, Vineyard Lake MI, Lake Seneca OH, Waldron MI, and Camden MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Summit families would meet the nanny at Capital Region International Airport, and Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
