Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Springfield, IL
Discover Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. The breed's long, silky coat is beautiful and sheds very little, so Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Even though most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they often act like big dogs, with an attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Even better, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. For most families, a Yorkie fits right in. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Springfield, Illinois area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Springfield. Our aim is to give every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Families Choose Our Yorkie Puppies
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life, is part of every puppy's routine. We also make socialization a priority, because it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies explore and play in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. They get great socialization this way, along with plenty of exercise.
We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Sangamon County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Springfield comes up 426 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Capital IL, Decatur IL, Lincoln IL, Clear Lake IL, West Lincoln IL, Fancy Creek IL, Beardstown IL, Sherman IL, Gardner IL, Williams IL, Broadwell IL, Riverton IL, Petersburg IL, Athens IL, Williamsville IL, Cartwright IL, Virginia IL, Grandview IL, Ashland IL, Spaulding IL, Bath IL, Bluff Springs IL, Pleasant Plains IL, Greenview IL, Arenzville IL, Mechanicsburg IL, Corwin IL, and Bainbridge IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Springfield families are Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, and Decatur Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
