Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Capital, IL
What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, we have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, better known as Yorkies. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, making it a popular recommendation for people with allergies. Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, yet they have a big-dog attitude that can be both feisty and bossy. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They usually fit right in with most families. If you live in the Capital, Illinois area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Capital is something we take great pride in. We believe every family deserves access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Learn What Makes Our Puppies the Best
At The Puppy House, we don't cut corners when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go far beyond the basics. Every adult dog in our program is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
Each puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is just as important, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We encourage you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take the placement of our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Capital, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs
Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Capital that's 8 to 10 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Sangamon County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Capital comes up 426 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Springfield IL, Jacksonville IL, Chatham IL, Taylorville IL, Woodside IL, Ball IL, Auburn IL, Rochester IL, Virden IL, South Jacksonville IL, Pawnee IL, South Fork IL, Nokomis IL, Girard IL, Buckhart IL, Jerome IL, Southern View IL, Curran IL, Leland Grove IL, Kincaid IL, New Berlin IL, Waverly IL, Ricks IL, Divernon IL, Edinburg IL, Morrisonville IL, Mount Auburn IL, Irving IL, Raymond IL, Bois D'Arc IL, Cotton Hill IL, Cooper IL, Witt IL, North Palmyra IL, North Otter IL, Loami IL, Butler Grove IL, South Palmyra IL, Farmersville IL, Bluffs IL, Thayer IL, Johnson IL, Nilwood IL, Island Grove IL, Murrayville IL, and Shaws Point IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Capital families are Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, and Decatur Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
