Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Smyrna, TN
Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, and they're often suggested for people with allergies. Even though most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they often act like big dogs, with an attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the real reason people fall for Yorkies is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They tend to fit right in with most families. Finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Smyrna, Tennessee area can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we take real pride in providing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Smyrna. We want each family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can trust.

What Sets Our Yorkie Puppies Apart
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines with a history of great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have lots of space to play and socialize.
Each puppy completes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies spend time in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs, playing and exploring together. This helps with socialization and gives them plenty of exercise too.
We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can meet us face to face and see our home and our dogs. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. Our favorite part is making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, every puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Delivery to Smyrna, Tennessee: What It Costs and How Long It Takes
Tennessee falls in our regional delivery tier at a flat $350, and the drive from Sugarcreek to Smyrna runs 410 miles, roughly 7 to 9 hours. Here's how the three options work.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek
You drive to us by appointment. The puppy goes home the same day. As a rule of thumb, around five hours each way is a reasonable day, past seven it gets long, and somewhere around nine it stops making sense, so you'll know where Smyrna falls. Families who come up meet the parent dogs, walk through the vaccination records and microchip registration at the kitchen table, and leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating along with a toy and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Home delivery by ground
Most Tennessee families take this route. A professional pet transport service carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and Tennessee is close enough to the route that families here are usually among the earlier stops rather than riding along for days. The fee is a flat $350 for Smyrna, for , including Murfreesboro TN, La Vergne TN, and Eagleville TN, and for anywhere else in Rutherford County, and we confirm the timing on a call. No airport trip, no cargo hold, and nothing for you to arrange.
Flight nanny
A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them on a commercial flight, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these are done the same day. Tennessee has good coverage for this, and for Smyrna the workable arrival points are Nashville International Airport, and Huntsville International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkie is ever close to, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. It costs more than ground and it's quoted per flight.
What we usually suggest
If the drive from Smyrna is short enough to do in a day, weigh the pickup against ground delivery, because it's worth it if you want to see where the puppy grew up. If it isn't, ground delivery is the sensible choice. Flight nanny gets it done in a day.
