Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Skokie, IL
Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. Yorkies usually tip the scales at 7 pounds or less, yet they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and being close by all the time is the icing on the cake. They blend right in with most families. Responsible breeders are few and far between across the country, which makes finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Skokie, Illinois area a challenge. That's why we take real pride in providing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Skokie. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

What Sets Our Yorkie Puppies Apart
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. The standards we follow go well beyond the basics. Every adult dog in our program is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Each of our puppies receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a set of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another key step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.
We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. That way, you can meet us face to face and see our home and our dogs. We take the placement of our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Skokie, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs
Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Skokie that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Skokie comes up 334 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Evanston IL, and Lincolnwood IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Skokie families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
