Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Shaker Heights, OH
The Reasons We Love Yorkies
At The Puppy House, we have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, better known as Yorkies. This breed's gorgeous, long, silky coat sheds very little, so it's often suggested for people with allergies. Even though they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what truly wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the cherry on top. They slip right into family life in most homes. Reputable Yorkie breeders are hard to come by in the Shaker Heights, Ohio area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. This is why we're proud to make our carefully bred Yorkie puppies available to families in Shaker Heights. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

See What Makes Our Puppies the Best
At The Puppy House, we don't cut corners when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We set our standards well above the basics. Every adult dog we own is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy takes part in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
We invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We're serious about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's more than a one-time sale. We love forming new friendships, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
All of our puppies get their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before they go home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Free Pickup, or $250 Delivery to Shaker Heights, Ohio
Coming to get the puppy
Pickup is free and it's what most Ohio families choose. From Shaker Heights the farm is 68 miles away, 1 to 2 hours by car. A visit is also what separates a breeder from the large puppy websites, which are brokers listing dogs from kennels they have never walked into. Visits are by appointment. That isn't us being formal about it. This is a working farm, and an appointment means the time gets set aside for you properly rather than fitted in between chores. Come out, take as long as you want, and ask us anything. Nobody has ever been rushed off this property.
We're closed Sundays. A message left with us then usually gets answered Monday morning.
Home delivery
If the drive genuinely doesn't work, home delivery to Shaker Heights, to , including University Heights OH, Beachwood OH, North Randall OH, Highland Hills OH, and Woodmere OH, or anywhere else in Cuyahoga County is $250, which is the lowest rate we charge anywhere. Your puppy travels with a pet delivery service in a climate controlled van, in a carrier of its own, and there are always two drivers so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. Their own veterinarian checks each puppy over after pickup and before the van leaves the driveway. Reserve before noon on Monday and it usually runs that week.
Flying makes little sense inside Ohio and almost nobody asks for it. If you did want it, the nanny would land at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and Akron Canton Regional Airport, but a commercial flight with an in-flight nanny runs $750 to $1,200, which buys you nothing on a drive this short.
