Find Out Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us

Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. Yorkies may be small, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They slip right into family life in most homes. With so few responsible breeders across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Schaumburg, Illinois area can be a challenge. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Schaumburg. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

What Makes Our Yorkie Puppies the Best

Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. Our standards go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.

Each puppy completes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs, playing and exploring together. It's great socialization, plus it gives them plenty of exercise.

We invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Schaumburg, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Schaumburg that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Schaumburg comes up 351 miles into the route, and the same van reaches .

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Schaumburg families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
