Discover the Reasons We Adore Yorkies

At The Puppy House, the Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and being close by all the time is the icing on the cake. They adjust easily to life with most families. Given how few responsible breeders there are across the country, finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Hanover Park, Illinois area can be difficult. This is exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Hanover Park. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out Why Our Puppies Stand Out

At The Puppy House, we make sure our Yorkies are bred and raised the right way. We go above and beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for, and each has plenty of room to play and socialize.

During their first few weeks, our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's wonderful socialization, and they get plenty of exercise too.

We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies with families seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale to us. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Hanover Park comes up 353 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including and Bartlett IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Hanover Park families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
