Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Paragould, AR
Discover Why We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. The breed's long, silky coat is beautiful and sheds very little, so Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. While most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They settle into most family homes with ease. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Paragould, Arkansas area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. That's why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Paragould. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Paragould
Why Our Puppies Are Second to None
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. Our standards are much higher than what's required. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. Our dogs are all well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy is given Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done early in life. Socialization is another important step, laying the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Playtime happens in the backyard, where our puppies explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and they get lots of exercise along the way.
We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. Making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes are all things we love.
Each puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough exam from a veterinarian before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
How Your Yorkie Puppy Travels to Paragould, Arkansas
Three ways run from Sugarcreek to Paragould, and the right one depends mostly on how soon you want the puppy home and how you feel about a long drive.
Home delivery by ground
Most Paragould families choose this. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, each puppy in a carrier of its own, with a veterinary check before the van pulls out and word from the driver as it travels. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. The flat fee to Arkansas is $450, and with Paragould 570 miles out, most families have the puppy in their arms about two days after departure, sometimes three depending on the route the van takes. Drivers on that trip also stop in , including Jonesboro AR, Poplar Bluff MO, Blytheville AR, Kennett MO, Caruthersville MO, Cotton Hill MO, Malden MO, Piggott AR, Manila AR, Gosnell AR, Corning AR, Portageville MO, Lake City AR, Hayti MO, Doniphan MO, Piedmont MO, Steele MO, Leachville AR, Campbell MO, Rector AR, Monette AR, Senath MO, Freeborn MO, Clay MO, Winona MO, Caraway AR, Marmaduke AR, Clarkton MO, Oak Grove Heights AR, Gideon MO, Ellington MO, Van Buren MO, Fairdealing MO, Birch Tree MO, Cardwell MO, Hornersville MO, Naylor MO, Eminence MO, Holcomb MO, and Hayti Heights MO, so the price doesn't move if you're elsewhere in Greene County or a few miles outside town.
For a puppy this small, the van has one advantage worth naming. Young Yorkies need frequent small meals to keep their blood sugar steady, and a ground transport schedule builds those stops in.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most flight nanny deliveries are done the same day. From Paragould, the airports that make sense for a handoff are Jonesboro Municipal Airport, and Memphis International Airport.
Yorkshire Terriers clear the in cabin requirements easily, since the limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkie weighs a couple of pounds. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. You need a little flexibility in case weather delays a flight. Flight nanny is quoted per trip and costs more than ground delivery.
Pickup at the farm
You're welcome to come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it was raised, and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee at the kitchen table. From Paragould that's 10 to 12 hours of driving each way, so realistically two days on the road plus a hotel. Some families make a trip of it. Most don't, and that's fine.
What we usually suggest for Paragould
Ground delivery is the answer for nearly everyone. At $450 it is the least complicated option, it costs less than a flight nanny, and nobody has to drive to an airport with a carrier. If you would rather have the puppy home in one day instead of two, ask about a flight nanny when we talk. The method, the timing, and the fee all get settled on the phone after the puppy is reserved.
