Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Jonesboro, AR
Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, and they're often suggested for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They settle into most family homes with ease. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Jonesboro, Arkansas area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Jonesboro. We want every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can depend on.

What Sets Our Yorkie Puppies Apart
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. Our standards go far beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies all go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves gentle handling exercises in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step that helps our puppies develop good behavior and habits as they grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. This way, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
How Your Yorkie Puppy Travels to Jonesboro, Arkansas
Three ways run from Sugarcreek to Jonesboro, and the right one depends mostly on how soon you want the puppy home and how you feel about a long drive.
Home delivery by ground
Most Jonesboro families choose this. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, each puppy in a carrier of its own, with a veterinary check before the van pulls out and word from the driver as it travels. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. The flat fee to Arkansas is $450, and with Jonesboro 588 miles out, most families have the puppy in their arms about two days after departure, sometimes three depending on the route the van takes. Drivers on that trip also stop in , including Paragould AR, Trumann AR, Pocahontas AR, Walnut Ridge AR, Cherokee Village AR, Brookland AR, Bono AR, Hoxie AR, Marked Tree AR, Harrisburg AR, Thayer MO, Bay AR, Lepanto AR, Tuckerman AR, Diaz AR, Highland AR, Ash Flat AR, Mammoth Spring AR, Alton MO, Hardy AR, Swifton AR, Weiner AR, Imboden AR, Black Rock AR, and Cherry Valley AR, so the price doesn't move if you're elsewhere in Craighead County or a few miles outside town.
For a puppy this small, the van has one advantage worth naming. Young Yorkies need frequent small meals to keep their blood sugar steady, and a ground transport schedule builds those stops in.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most flight nanny deliveries are done the same day. From Jonesboro, the airports that make sense for a handoff are Jonesboro Municipal Airport, and Memphis International Airport.
Yorkshire Terriers clear the in cabin requirements easily, since the limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkie weighs a couple of pounds. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. You need a little flexibility in case weather delays a flight. Flight nanny is quoted per trip and costs more than ground delivery.
Pickup at the farm
You're welcome to come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it was raised, and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee at the kitchen table. From Jonesboro that's 11 to 13 hours of driving each way, so realistically two days on the road plus a hotel. Some families make a trip of it. Most don't, and that's fine.
What we usually suggest for Jonesboro
Ground delivery is the answer for nearly everyone. At $450 it is the least complicated option, it costs less than a flight nanny, and nobody has to drive to an airport with a carrier. If you would rather have the puppy home in one day instead of two, ask about a flight nanny when we talk. The method, the timing, and the fee all get settled on the phone after the puppy is reserved.
