See Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed that's very dear to us. People with allergies are often pointed toward Yorkies, since their beautiful, long, silky coat sheds very little. Yorkies generally weigh 7 pounds or less, yet they carry themselves with a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. Most families find that Yorkies fit right in. If you live in the Pace, Florida area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we take great pride in bringing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Pace. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can truly count on.

See What Sets Our Yorkie Puppies Apart

At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We go above and beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life, is part of every puppy's routine. Socialization is just as important, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies explore and play in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.

We'd love for you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. We love forming new friendships, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.

Every puppy has had their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam by the time they go home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Pace, Florida

Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Pace that means 750 miles on the road and 14 to 16 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.

Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Pace, , including East Milton FL, Milton FL, Atmore AL, Monroeville AL, Brewton AL, Pea Ridge FL, Bagdad FL, Point Baker FL, Wallace FL, East Brewton AL, Century FL, Flomaton AL, Molino FL, Frisco City AL, Chumuckla FL, Allentown FL, Jay FL, Excel AL, Roeville FL, and Avalon FL, and any other address in Santa Rosa County.

Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Pace, nannies fly into Pensacola International Airport, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.

Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
