See Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us

Few breeds are as close to our hearts at The Puppy House as the Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat, and since they shed very little, they're often recommended for people with allergies. Small as they are at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what wins people's hearts is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. And their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. Most families find that Yorkies fit right in. Tracking down a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Ferry Pass, Florida area can be challenging, since responsible breeders are so rare across the country. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Ferry Pass. We want every family to find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Ones to Choose

At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. The bar we set for ourselves is well above the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested, and each comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have all the room they need to play and socialize.

All of our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. They play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. This gives you a chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our puppies grow up in loving homes.

Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Ferry Pass, Florida

Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Ferry Pass that means 757 miles on the road and 14 to 16 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.

Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Ferry Pass, , including Pace FL, Brent FL, and Ensley FL, and any other address in Escambia County.

Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Ferry Pass, nannies fly into Pensacola International Airport, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.

Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
