Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in New London, CT
Discover the Reasons We Adore Yorkies
The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed's gorgeous, long, silky coat sheds very little, so it's often suggested for people with allergies. They're small, usually weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They adjust easily to life with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the New London, Connecticut area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in New London. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Discover Why Our Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we make sure our Yorkies are bred and raised the right way. The standards we follow go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested, and each comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
We put every puppy through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. They get great socialization this way, along with plenty of exercise.
You're invited to visit us and choose your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We don't take placing our Yorkies lightly, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, checking in over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy gets their first round of shots and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Three Ways a Yorkie Puppy Gets to New London, Connecticut
Connecticut falls in our regional delivery tier, which means door to door ground transport is a flat $350 in New London, in , including Norwich CT, Southold NY, Waterford CT, East Lyme CT, Conning Towers-Nautilus Park CT, Groton CT, Long Hill CT, Mystic CT, Old Mystic CT, Niantic CT, Oxoboxo River CT, Lyme CT, Poquonock Bridge CT, Noank CT, Gales Ferry CT, and Groton Long Point CT, and everywhere else in New London County. This is what we recommend for most families here. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and because Connecticut sits early on the East Coast route, arrival is usually the next day.
Pickup at the farm is open to anyone willing to make the drive, by appointment. From New London that's 501 miles by road, or 9 to 11 hours each way. It makes for a long day. You get to see where the puppy was raised, meet the litter, and go through the health records, microchip registration, and the guarantee face to face before you head home.
Flight nanny is the fastest option and the one families choose when they want the puppy quickly. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin in an airline approved carrier under the seat, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these finish same day. The practical arrival airports for New London are Westerly State Airport, and Tweed New Haven Airport. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds including the carrier, and travel with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. A grown Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds, so that weight limit is never the sticking point with this breed. Flights are quoted per trip and cost more than ground, and winter weather can push a date.
We send home a bag of the food the puppy has been eating. The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
