Discover Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. Yorkies are low-shedding dogs with long, beautiful, silky coats, and they're often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, yet they have a big-dog attitude that can be both feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They slip right into family life in most homes. Given how few responsible breeders there are across the country, finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Naperville, Illinois area can be difficult. For this reason, we're proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Naperville. We want every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

The Reasons Our Puppies Stand Out

Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go well past the bare minimum. All the adult dogs in our program are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another key step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's wonderful socialization, and they get plenty of exercise too.

We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We take the placement of our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends along the way, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Naperville, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Naperville that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in DuPage County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Naperville comes up 351 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Wheatland IL, and Warrenville IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Naperville families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
