Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in McHenry, IL
Explore What We Love About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat and sheds very little, which is why it's often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies usually tip the scales at 7 pounds or less, yet they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. However, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They settle into most family homes with ease. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the McHenry, Illinois area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. That's why we're proud to offer families in McHenry our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In McHenry
The Reasons Our Puppies Are the Best
Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. For us, the basics are only the starting point. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested, and each comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's a great way to socialize them, and they get plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we'd love for you to come see us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.
All of our puppies get their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before they go home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to McHenry, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs
Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From McHenry that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in McHenry County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. McHenry comes up 368 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Lake Geneva WI, Richmond IL, Johnsburg IL, Twin Lakes WI, Spring Grove IL, Bloomfield WI, Wonder Lake IL, Lyons WI, Wheatland WI, Genoa City WI, Bohners Lake WI, Powers Lake WI, McCullom Lake IL, and Ringwood IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for McHenry families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
