Learn Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers

Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. This breed's gorgeous, long, silky coat sheds very little, so it's often suggested for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. And their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. Yorkies adapt easily to most families. Responsible breeders are few and far between across the country, which makes finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the League City, Texas area a challenge. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in League City is something we take great pride in. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.

Discover Why Our Yorkie Puppies Are the Best

At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. Our standards go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. We take good care of our dogs and give them plenty of room to play and socialize.

Each of our puppies receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a set of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs, playing and exploring together. It's great socialization, plus it gives them plenty of exercise.

If it works for you, we invite you to visit and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, since to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Puppy Delivery to League City, Texas

Home delivery by ground transport

A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary checkup before departure and updates along the way. Transports leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Texas falls in our national pricing tier, so the fee is a flat $450 regardless of which corner of the state you live in. League City is 1074 miles from the farm, and because of that distance most families here are looking at two to three days on the road rather than the next day arrival that East Coast families get. Your driver's stops in Galveston County include League City along with , including Friendswood TX, Dickinson TX, Webster TX, Nassau Bay TX, and El Lago TX.

Flight nanny

A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, right beside them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. The handoff usually happens the same afternoon. Texas has plenty of direct service from the Midwest, and League City families usually meet their nanny at William P. Hobby Airport, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Flights are quoted per trip and cost more than ground transport. They also need a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, a puppy at least eight weeks old, and a little flexibility in case weather pushes a flight. The twenty pound cabin limit including the carrier is never an issue with this breed, since a grown Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds.

Pickup at the farm

Coming to Sugarcreek by appointment and driving the puppy home yourself is always open. From League City that's 20 to 22 hours each way, a commitment of several days, so most families skip it, but the ones who make the drive get to meet the puppy where it was raised and go through the health records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee with us in person.

What we suggest for League City

For most Texas addresses, ground delivery at $450 is the easy answer, and it is what we would suggest first. It ends at your front door. Nothing is asked of you but a signature. If you would rather not have a young puppy on the road for three days, the flight nanny is usually worth the extra cost. Small puppies can dip low on blood sugar when they travel, so plan on small frequent meals for the first few days home no matter which option you pick. Method, timing, and the fee all get confirmed on the phone once your puppy is reserved.
