Discover What We Adore About Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, making it a popular recommendation for people with allergies. Although Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The cherry on top is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. Yorkies adapt easily to most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Greece, New York area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we take real pride in providing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Greece. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.

Why Our Puppies Are Hard to Beat

When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. We go well beyond the basic standards. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.

All our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises we do in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another key step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

We invite you to come visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.

Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Greece, New York

There are three ways to get your puppy home to Greece, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.

Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From Greece you're looking at 5 to 7 hours each way, 278 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.

Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Monroe County the driver also delivers to , including Parma NY, Hamlin NY, Clarkson NY, Hilton NY, Carlton NY, and Kendall NY, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.

Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, and never in cargo. Most flights are done same day. For Greece, we meet families at baggage claim at Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport, and Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.

What we suggest for Greece. If 5 to 7 hours each way is a day you can spare, come get the puppy yourself. It's a pretty drive. You'll learn more in an hour at the farm than in a dozen text messages. If that's more road than you want, ground delivery at $350 is the sensible choice. Flight nanny is for families who want the puppy in their arms in a matter of hours.
