Learn What We Love About Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. Even at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can come across as feisty and bossy. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. As a bonus, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They blend right in with most families. If you live in the Chili, New York area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we take great pride in making our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies available to families in Chili. We want every family to have the chance to own a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Best Around

At The Puppy House, we take care to breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We hold our program to standards well beyond the basics. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines with a history of great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to run, play, and socialize.

During their first few weeks, our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Chili, New York

There are three ways to get your puppy home to Chili, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.

Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From Chili you're looking at 4 to 6 hours each way, 269 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.

Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Monroe County the driver also delivers to , including Henrietta NY, Gates NY, Batavia NY, Sweden NY, Geneseo NY, Brockport NY, Albion NY, Riga NY, Warsaw NY, Wheatland NY, Murray NY, Perry NY, Le Roy NY, Mount Morris NY, Clarendon NY, Avon NY, York NY, Gaines NY, Nunda NY, Castile NY, Pavilion NY, Stafford NY, Byron NY, Churchville NY, Caledonia NY, Leicester NY, Gainesville NY, Amity NY, Hume NY, Scottsville NY, Scio NY, Bethany NY, Holley NY, Middlebury NY, Covington NY, Bergen NY, Pike NY, Belmont NY, Portage NY, Alma NY, Angelica NY, Silver Springs NY, Elba NY, Fillmore NY, Grove NY, and Granger NY, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.

Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, and never in cargo. Most flights are done same day. For Chili, we meet families at baggage claim at Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport, and Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.

What we suggest for Chili. If 4 to 6 hours each way is a day you can spare, come get the puppy yourself. It's a pretty drive. You'll learn more in an hour at the farm than in a dozen text messages. If that's more road than you want, ground delivery at $350 is the sensible choice. Flight nanny is for families who want the puppy in their arms in a matter of hours.
