Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Elmwood Park, IL
Learn the Reasons We Love Yorkies
The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. Don't let their size fool you. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. On top of that, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They settle in easily with most families. Searching for a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Elmwood Park, Illinois area can be challenging, given how few responsible breeders there are nationwide. That's why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Elmwood Park. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Learn What Sets Our Puppies Apart
We breed and raise our Yorkies the right way here at The Puppy House. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have lots of space to play and socialize.
Each puppy completes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. We also make socialization a priority, because it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's a fun way for them to get exercise too.
If you're able, come visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. Every Yorkie we place matters to us, and it's never just a one-time sale. We love making new friends along the way, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy gets their first round of shots and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Elmwood Park comes up 336 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including River Forest IL, and River Grove IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Elmwood Park families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
