Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Elmira, NY
See What We Love About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies because their long, beautiful, silky coat sheds very little. Yorkies generally weigh 7 pounds or less, yet they carry themselves with a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. Their love of snuggling and sticking close all the time is the cherry on top. They make a great fit for most families. Searching for a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Elmira, New York area can be challenging, given how few responsible breeders there are nationwide. That's why we're so proud to provide families in Elmira with our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Best Around
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. Our standards go well beyond the basics. We only work with genetically tested adult dogs from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of space for playing and socializing.
Each puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. Besides being great socialization, it gives them plenty of exercise.
We encourage you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. This gives you a chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies with families seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale to us. Our favorite part is making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Elmira, New York
There are three ways to get your puppy home to Elmira, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From Elmira you're looking at 4 to 6 hours each way, 274 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.
Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Chemung County the driver also delivers to , including Ithaca NY, Corning NY, Southport NY, Barton NY, Erwin NY, Big Flats NY, Horseheads NY, Bath NY, Sayre PA, West Elmira NY, Gang Mills NY, Waverly NY, Dix NY, Elmira Heights NY, Starkey NY, Charleston PA, Campbell NY, Athens PA, Veteran NY, Mansfield PA, Towanda PA, Horseheads North NY, Catlin NY, Chemung NY, Urbana NY, Montour NY, Caton NY, Painted Post NY, Ridgebury PA, Lindley NY, Watkins Glen NY, Erin NY, Elkland PA, Barrington NY, Reading NY, Addison NY, Hornby NY, Woodhull NY, Dundee NY, Montour Falls NY, Tyrone NY, Ashland NY, Sullivan PA, Tuscarora NY, Orange NY, Jasper NY, Litchfield PA, Sheshequin PA, Thurston NY, Middlebury PA, Ulster PA, Troupsburg NY, Pulteney NY, Wheeler NY, Troy PA, Independence NY, South Creek PA, North Towanda PA, South Corning NY, Rathbone NY, Westfield PA, South Waverly PA, Wayne NY, Greens Landing PA, Cameron NY, Wells PA, Rutland PA, Bradford NY, Breesport NY, Savona NY, Burlington PA, Genesee PA, Greenwood NY, Leroy PA, Pine Valley NY, West Burlington PA, Bingham PA, Deerfield PA, Tioga PA, Lawrenceville PA, Osceola PA, Hammondsport NY, Knoxville PA, Chatham PA, Ulysses PA, Nelson PA, Odessa NY, Wellsburg NY, and Cayuta NY, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.
Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, and never in cargo. Most flights are done same day. For Elmira, we meet families at baggage claim at Elmira Corning Regional Airport, and Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.
What we suggest for Elmira. If 4 to 6 hours each way is a day you can spare, come get the puppy yourself. It's a pretty drive. You'll learn more in an hour at the farm than in a dozen text messages. If that's more road than you want, ground delivery at $350 is the sensible choice. Flight nanny is for families who want the puppy in their arms in a matter of hours.
