Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Elizabethtown, KY
Discover Why We're So Fond of Yorkies
Here at The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. People with allergies are often pointed toward Yorkies, since their beautiful, long, silky coat sheds very little. Although they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But their sweet temperament and the deep bond they create with their family are what win people over. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the cherry on top. They make a great fit for most families. In the Elizabethtown, Kentucky area, reputable Yorkie breeders can be tough to find, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we take great pride in bringing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Elizabethtown. Our hope is that every family can have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Elizabethtown
Why Our Puppies Are the Right Choice
Here at The Puppy House, we breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. Our standards are much higher than what's required. Our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and all of them are genetically tested. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies play and explore outside in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's a fun way for them to get exercise too.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. Visiting lets you see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy leaves with their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam completed. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and What It Costs
Home delivery to your door
$350, door to door, to Elizabethtown or anywhere else in the state. That is the whole cost of getting your puppy home, and it's what most Kentucky families choose. A pet delivery service collects the puppy here on Tuesday morning and runs it down in a climate controlled van, in a carrier to itself, with the vans cleaned and disinfected between trips. Two drivers ride each one, so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. The service's own veterinarian goes over every puppy after pickup and before the van pulls out, and the driver calls as it gets close so you know when to be home.
Schedules close at noon on Monday for that week. Elizabethtown is 298 miles from the farm, so families here are usually holding the puppy within a day or two of departure rather than waiting out a long haul. Around Hardin County, the van also makes stops in , including Radcliff KY, Campbellsville KY, Leitchfield KY, Lebanon KY, Columbia KY, Hodgenville KY, Horse Cave KY, Greensburg KY, Lebanon Junction KY, Munfordville KY, Edmonton KY, New Haven KY, Clarkson KY, Loretto KY, Upton KY, Cecilia KY, Magnolia KY, and Sonora KY.
Pickup at the farm
Pickup is free, and Kentucky is close enough that a fair number of families take it rather than wait on a van. From Elizabethtown it's 5 to 7 hours each way. You get to walk the property, meet the mother where possible, and go through the vaccination records, the microchip paperwork and the guarantee at the kitchen table instead of over the phone. Visits run by appointment so the time is set aside for you properly rather than squeezed between chores. We're closed Sundays, and a message left then usually gets answered Monday.
Flight nanny
Ask and we'll arrange it. Only a handful of families a year go this way, since the drive is short enough that flying rarely buys much. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim the same day. For Elizabethtown, the workable airports are Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, and Owensboro Daviess County Airport. Flights run $750 to $1,200 depending on the route and the airline.
