Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Crofton, MD
Learn What We Adore About Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. Even at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can come across as feisty and bossy. But it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family that really win people over. As a bonus, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They fit in well with most families. Searching for a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Crofton, Maryland area can be challenging, given how few responsible breeders there are nationwide. That's why we're so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Crofton. We want every family to have the chance to own a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Crofton
Find Out Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. Our standards go well past the bare minimum. Our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and all of them are genetically tested. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to run, play, and socialize.
Each of our puppies receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a set of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is just as important, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We put a lot of thought into placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.
All of our puppies get their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before they go home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Three Ways to Bring a Yorkie Puppy Home to Crofton, Maryland
Picking up at the farm
You're welcome to come get your puppy in person by appointment. From Crofton the run out to Sugarcreek is 282 miles and 5 to 7 hours each way, and plenty of Maryland families do it to see where the puppy grew up. Pickups include the health records, microchip paperwork, and guarantee gone over at the kitchen table, plus a bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Ground delivery to your door
Ground is where most Maryland families end up. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van with its own carrier, a vet check before departure, and updates along the way. Maryland sits in our regional tier, so the fee is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays and East Coast stops are usually next day, so a puppy that departs Tuesday morning is often in Anne Arundel County by Wednesday. The same stop covers , including and Bowie MD.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. Most flight nanny deliveries finish the same day. The practical airports for Crofton are Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Flights are quoted individually and cost more than ground, and every nanny trip needs a veterinarian health certificate and some flexibility if weather moves things around. Weight is never the problem with this breed on a flight, since the cabin limit is twenty pounds including the carrier and a Yorkie puppy is nowhere near that.
For most of the state we suggest ground delivery. The distance is short enough that the puppy is only on the road one night, and it saves you an airport trip. If 5 to 7 hours each way sounds like a comfortable day to you, pickup is worth the drive.
