Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Severn, MD
Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. Although Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. However, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Because responsible breeders are so rare across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Severn, Maryland area can be tough. That's why we take great pride in bringing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Severn. We want each family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can trust.

Learn Why Our Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we're committed to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. All the adult dogs in our program are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
All of our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's a great way to socialize them, and they get plenty of exercise too.
We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love making new friends, hearing from them over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Three Ways to Bring a Yorkie Puppy Home to Severn, Maryland
Picking up at the farm
You're welcome to come get your puppy in person by appointment. From Severn the run out to Sugarcreek is 278 miles and 5 to 7 hours each way, and plenty of Maryland families do it to see where the puppy grew up. Pickups include the health records, microchip paperwork, and guarantee gone over at the kitchen table, plus a bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Ground delivery to your door
Ground is where most Maryland families end up. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van with its own carrier, a vet check before departure, and updates along the way. Maryland sits in our regional tier, so the fee is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays and East Coast stops are usually next day, so a puppy that departs Tuesday morning is often in Anne Arundel County by Wednesday. The same stop covers , including Glen Burnie MD, Odenton MD, and Jessup MD.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. Most flight nanny deliveries finish the same day. The practical airports for Severn are Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Flights are quoted individually and cost more than ground, and every nanny trip needs a veterinarian health certificate and some flexibility if weather moves things around. Weight is never the problem with this breed on a flight, since the cabin limit is twenty pounds including the carrier and a Yorkie puppy is nowhere near that.
For most of the state we suggest ground delivery. The distance is short enough that the puppy is only on the road one night, and it saves you an airport trip. If 5 to 7 hours each way sounds like a comfortable day to you, pickup is worth the drive.
