Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Columbus, OH
Why We Adore Yorkies
Everyone at The Puppy House has a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies may be small, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They tend to fit right in with most families. If you live in the Columbus, Ohio area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Columbus. Our aim is to give every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Columbus
See Why Our Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we're committed to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We expect much more from ourselves than the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy starts out with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done over the first few weeks. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our vaccinated adult dogs. It's a great way to socialize them, and they get plenty of exercise too.
Whenever possible, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Free Pickup, or $250 Delivery to Columbus, Ohio
Coming to get the puppy
Pickup is free and it's what most Ohio families choose. From Columbus the farm is 79 miles away, 1 to 3 hours by car. A visit is also what separates a breeder from the large puppy websites, which are brokers listing dogs from kennels they have never walked into. Visits are by appointment. That isn't us being formal about it. This is a working farm, and an appointment means the time gets set aside for you properly rather than fitted in between chores. Come out, take as long as you want, and ask us anything. Nobody has ever been rushed off this property.
We're closed Sundays. A message left with us then usually gets answered Monday morning.
Home delivery
If the drive genuinely doesn't work, home delivery to Columbus, to , including Upper Arlington OH, and Bexley OH, or anywhere else in Delaware County is $250, which is the lowest rate we charge anywhere. Your puppy travels with a pet delivery service in a climate controlled van, in a carrier of its own, and there are always two drivers so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. Their own veterinarian checks each puppy over after pickup and before the van leaves the driveway. Reserve before noon on Monday and it usually runs that week.
Flying makes little sense inside Ohio and almost nobody asks for it. If you did want it, the nanny would land at John Glenn Columbus International Airport, and Rickenbacker International Airport, but a commercial flight with an in-flight nanny runs $750 to $1,200, which buys you nothing on a drive this short.
