Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Calumet City, IL
What We Love About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, we have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, better known as Yorkies. People with allergies are often pointed toward Yorkies, since their beautiful, long, silky coat sheds very little. Even at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can come across as feisty and bossy. But their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family are what really win people over. Then there's their love of cuddling and staying close all the time, which is the icing on the cake. They blend right in with most families. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Calumet City, Illinois area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. Because of this, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Calumet City. Our hope is that every family can have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Learn What Makes Our Puppies the Best
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way is what we're all about at The Puppy House. Our standards go well past the bare minimum. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of space for playing and socializing.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. We also make socialization a priority, because it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, plus it gives them plenty of exercise.
We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. That way, you can see where your puppy was raised, spend time with our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy is given their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Calumet City comes up 317 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including and Burnham IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Calumet City families are Gary Chicago International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
