Explore the Reasons We Love Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. The breed's long, silky coat is beautiful and sheds very little, so Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Although they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family are what really win people over. The cherry on top is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They're well suited to most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Bellview, Florida area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we're so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Bellview. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

The Reasons Our Puppies Are the Best

Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We go above and beyond the basics. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. We take good care of our dogs and give them plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and they get lots of exercise along the way.

If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. Our favorite part is making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Every puppy has had their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam by the time they go home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Bellview, Florida

Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Bellview that means 763 miles on the road and 14 to 16 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.

Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Bellview, , including West Pensacola FL, and Lillian AL, and any other address in Escambia County.

Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Bellview, nannies fly into Pensacola International Airport, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.

Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
