Discover Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us

Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. The breed's long, silky coat is beautiful and sheds very little, so Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. But what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. Yorkies adapt easily to most families. Searching for a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Hialeah Gardens, Florida area can be challenging, given how few responsible breeders there are nationwide. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Hialeah Gardens is something we take great pride in. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Yorkie Puppies Stand Out

At The Puppy House, we pride ourselves on breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with a reputation for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy takes part in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another key step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This gives them great socialization and plenty of exercise at the same time.

We invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Every puppy has had their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam by the time they go home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Hialeah Gardens, Florida

Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Hialeah Gardens that means 1013 miles on the road and 19 to 21 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.

Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Hialeah Gardens, , including and Medley FL, and any other address in Miami-Dade County.

Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Hialeah Gardens, nannies fly into Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, and Miami International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.

Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
