Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Melrose Park, IL
Explore the Reasons We Love Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. Small as they are at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they share with their family that win most people over. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the cherry on top. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Responsible breeders are few and far between across the country, which makes finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Melrose Park, Illinois area a challenge. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Melrose Park is something we take great pride in. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

The Reasons Our Puppies Are the Best
Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. We only work with genetically tested adult dogs from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have lots of space to play and socialize.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps our puppies build good behavior and habits as they grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy leaves with their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam completed. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Melrose Park, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs
Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Melrose Park that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Melrose Park comes up 338 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Leyden IL, Maywood IL, and Stone Park IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Melrose Park families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
