Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Alvin, TX
Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. The breed is often recommended for people with allergies thanks to its long, beautiful, silky coat that sheds very little. A Yorkie typically weighs 7 pounds or less but has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they share with their family that win most people over. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They fit right in with most families. If you live in the Alvin, Texas area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we're proud to offer families in Alvin our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Alvin
What Sets Our Yorkie Puppies Apart
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. We go well beyond the basic standards. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and enjoy plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important piece, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
If you're able, come visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies with families seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale to us. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Puppy Delivery to Alvin, Texas
Home delivery by ground transport
A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary checkup before departure and updates along the way. Transports leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Texas falls in our national pricing tier, so the fee is a flat $450 regardless of which corner of the state you live in. Alvin is 1083 miles from the farm, and because of that distance most families here are looking at two to three days on the road rather than the next day arrival that East Coast families get. Your driver's stops in Brazoria County include Alvin along with , including Lake Jackson TX, Hillcrest TX, and Liverpool TX.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, right beside them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. The handoff usually happens the same afternoon. Texas has plenty of direct service from the Midwest, and Alvin families usually meet their nanny at William P. Hobby Airport, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Flights are quoted per trip and cost more than ground transport. They also need a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, a puppy at least eight weeks old, and a little flexibility in case weather pushes a flight. The twenty pound cabin limit including the carrier is never an issue with this breed, since a grown Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds.
Pickup at the farm
Coming to Sugarcreek by appointment and driving the puppy home yourself is always open. From Alvin that's 21 to 23 hours each way, a commitment of several days, so most families skip it, but the ones who make the drive get to meet the puppy where it was raised and go through the health records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee with us in person.
What we suggest for Alvin
For most Texas addresses, ground delivery at $450 is the easy answer, and it is what we would suggest first. It ends at your front door. Nothing is asked of you but a signature. If you would rather not have a young puppy on the road for three days, the flight nanny is usually worth the extra cost. Small puppies can dip low on blood sugar when they travel, so plan on small frequent meals for the first few days home no matter which option you pick. Method, timing, and the fee all get confirmed on the phone once your puppy is reserved.
