Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Port Huron, MI
Discover the Reasons We Adore Yorkies
The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. The breed is often recommended for people with allergies thanks to its long, beautiful, silky coat that sheds very little. For a dog that typically weighs 7 pounds or less, the Yorkie has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. And their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. Yorkies fit right in with most families. Tracking down a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Port Huron, Michigan area can be challenging, since responsible breeders are so rare across the country. That's why we take real pride in providing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Port Huron. We believe every family deserves access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover Why Our Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we make sure our Yorkies are bred and raised the right way. For us, the basics are only the starting point. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and enjoy plenty of room to play and socialize.
We put every puppy through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is just as important, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our vaccinated adult dogs. Besides being great socialization, it gives them plenty of exercise.
We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. Visiting lets you see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We put a lot of thought into placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy leaves with their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam completed. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Port Huron, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Port Huron mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Port Huron it's 176 miles, which works out to 3 to 5 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a St. Clair County address pays the same whether it's in Port Huron or out in , including Fort Gratiot MI, Marysville MI, Kimball MI, St. Clair MI, Clyde MI, Marine City MI, Burtchville MI, East China MI, Worth MI, China MI, Wales MI, Sandusky MI, Kenockee MI, Sanilac MI, Croswell MI, Brockway MI, Yale MI, Harbor Beach MI, Greenwood MI, Elk MI, Speaker MI, Buel MI, Sand Beach MI, Lexington MI, Moore MI, Forester MI, Delaware MI, Bridgehampton MI, Ubly MI, Deckerville MI, Argyle MI, Rubicon MI, Peck MI, Port Sanilac MI, and Minden MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Port Huron families would meet the nanny at Bishop International Airport, and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
