Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Washington, MI
Here's Why We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, the Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts. Yorkies are low-shedding dogs with long, beautiful, silky coats, and they're often recommended for people with allergies. For a dog that typically weighs 7 pounds or less, the Yorkie has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the real reason people fall for Yorkies is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The cherry on top is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They fit easily into most families. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Washington, Michigan area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Washington. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Washington
See Why Our Puppies Stand Out
The Puppy House is dedicated to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. Our standards go far beyond the basics. We only work with genetically tested adult dogs from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
All our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises we do in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
Whenever possible, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and keeping in touch so we can watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going to their new home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Washington, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Washington mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Washington it's 173 miles, which works out to 2 to 4 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Macomb County address pays the same whether it's in Washington or out in , including Bruce MI, Mussey MI, Imlay City MI, Romeo MI, Arcadia MI, Imlay MI, Almont MI, Burnside MI, Capac MI, Goodland MI, Marlette MI, Brown City MI, Lynn MI, Flynn MI, Dryden MI, and Lamotte MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Washington families would meet the nanny at Bishop International Airport, and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
