See Why We Love Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat and sheds very little, which is why it's often recommended for people with allergies. A Yorkie typically weighs 7 pounds or less but has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. On top of that, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They settle into most family homes with ease. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Laguna Hills, California area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. That's why it means so much to us to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Laguna Hills. We're committed to giving every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Why Our Puppies Are Second to None

When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. Our standards go far beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.

We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

Whenever possible, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies to heart, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and is checked thoroughly by a veterinarian. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Laguna Hills, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports

There are three ways home, and for Laguna Hills the choice is usually between the last two.

Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Laguna Hills means 2030 miles and 40 to 42 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Laguna Hills or in , including Mission Viejo CA, Lake Forest CA, and Laguna Woods CA. Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.

Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Laguna Hills. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. Orange County families meet their nanny at John Wayne Orange County International Airport, and Long Beach International Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.

Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Laguna Hills we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
